GFB DV+ T9384 for Ford – recirculation valves incl. solenoid valve (GFB T9384)
The T9384 includes all the features of the T9354 and also comes with its own solenoid valve, so that the original valve can be completely replaced.
Advantages at a glance
- Identical to the DV+ T9354 in terms of performance and characteristics
- Plug and play installation without having to dismantle the original valve
- Faster boost pressure build-up when shifting gears or accelerating
- Eliminates boost pressure losses with original valves
- Built to last a lifetime
- All parts required for conversion included in delivery
The T9384 is a 1:1 replacement for the original bypass valve in vehicles with vacuum-controlled turbochargers, such as those used in Ford, Volvo, Porsche and other vehicles with Borg Warner turbochargers
With GFB TMS technology, the T9384 can build up boost pressure up to 30% faster. In addition, the T9354 eliminates the boost pressure losses found in many original blow-by valves, which can no longer occur due to the high-quality manufacturing and design.
The original blow-by valves have a number of disadvantages
Point 1: High boost pressure & thermal stress
Vehicles with turbocharging achieve most of their performance increase by increasing the boost pressure. In most cases, the original blow-by valves (SUV) are located directly on the turbocharger, where they are exposed to high temperatures. The high boost pressure and high temperatures often cause the original valves to leak. As a result, the control unit attempts to counteract the loss of boost pressure by increasing the turbocharger speed, which puts strain on the turbo. The result is increased wear on the turbocharger, which can lead to damage.
Point 2: No consideration of throttle operation
Original bypass valves do not take into account the accelerator pedal position or movement. Instead, the original valve only has two positions: either fully open or fully closed. This means that the original valve is not able to control the boost pressure individually according to the accelerator pedal position.
The solution – the GFB DV+ T9384
The GFB DV+ T9384 solves these problems by being CNC-milled from aluminium. Depending on the existing boost pressure and the accelerator pedal position or operation, the T9384 can open and close the valve individually with all intermediate steps. Due to its design, there can be no more boost pressure losses.
